Sage & Salt Bistro, at 300 S Liberty St, is already embarking on an expansion project just months after its grand opening.

The City of Winston-Salem has issued a permit for a new, connected “partner” concept, The Station at Sage & Salt, which will feature a jazz club, plans show.

According to the permit, the renovation will transform the space adjacent to Sage & Salt into a jazz club while expanding the existing kitchen into the same area.

An employee at Sage & Salt confirmed that demolition has begun in the new space and that the project is at least a months away from completion.

Sage and Salt Bistro replaced Willow’s Bistro in fall 2023 under the direction of Brandon Brock — a former employee at the restaurant — and Thomas and Kelly Brock, Brandon’s parents and Owners of Law Firm Brock and Scott. Sage and Salt bills itself as an “American Bistro.”
