A new pizza concept is joining the University Hills development in Durham.

Dino’s is heading to a 2,500-square-foot space at 3109 Shannon Road, with plans for a spring opening, according to the Triangle Business Journal.

Chefs Matt Kelly and Tom Cuomo are behind the new concept. The two are not new to the Triangle restaurant scene. Kelly has multiple restaurants in the area, including Nana’s, Mateo Bar de Tapas and Mothers & Sons Trattoria.

Cuomo owned Italian-Japanese fusion spot Papa Shogun, which closed in 2020. He also collaborated with Kelly on a former venture, Saint James Seafood, which closed in 2022.

Other businesses at the University Hills development include Gizmo Brew Works and Triangle Coffee House.
