Popular fried chicken hub, Yas Chicken has set its sights on opening its newest storefront in Burlington. The eatery has filed a special planning permit to take over the former Qdoba space located at 90 Middlesex Turnpike.

According to the recently submitted cover letter to Burlington’s Planning Department by owner Jun Pao Zhang, Yas Chicken’s proposal is to work with the existing layout and infrastructure of the space and reopen the premises with only minimal cosmetic and furniture updates.

Yas Chicken is best known for its double-fried chicken tenders and sandwiches, including best-selling menu items the Yas O.G., Cheesy Chick, Mac Zaddy, and more.

There are currently three existing locations in the Boston vicinity located in Lynn, Lawrence and Providence, RI.
