Scheduled for a March 2024 launch, Bluefin Raw Bar will soon welcome guests at 660b Centre Street in Jamaica Plain, expanding from its successful Somerville outpost. From lobster roll party packs and seaside samplers to New England clam chowder and salmon burgers, Bluefin has become a local seafood haven since its founding in April 2022.

Mirroring its counterpart’s seasonal menu, the Jamaica Plain location will feature a diverse selection including raw bar delights, chowder, lobster rolls, and innovative twists on ceviches and poke bowls, revealed owner Jason Tucker. Excitingly, a six-foot seafood display case will exhibit the freshest local catches, providing patrons with a vibrant visual feast while dining in-house or awaiting to-go orders.

Tucker’s lifelong fascination with the “rugged beauty of the ocean” surrounding New England has been a driving force behind Bluefin. Since his childhood, he’s been drawn to the allure of offshore adventures and remains humbled by nature’s “power, diversity, and resilience.” This profound connection inspired him to open Hooked Fish Shop in 2018, followed by the establishment of Bluefin.

In a bid to propel the Jamaica Plain project forward, Bluefin has extended its NuMarket crowdsourcing campaign. Contributors to the campaign will receive 120% of their investment back in store credits. As March draws nearer, the excitement builds for Bluefin’s imminent debut in Jamaica Plain, promising a seafood experience that captures the essence of New England’s coastal culinary delights.
