Revival Cafe + Kitchen is poised for expansion, introducing two new locations to its repertoire. The first is nestled at 1729 Massachusetts Ave in Lexington, while the second finds its home within the newly-constructed life science building at 99 Coolidge Ave in Watertown. Set to debut on January 29, 2024, the Watertown cafe will soon welcome guests, while the Lexington locale is gearing up for a grand opening in March 2024. These additions complement the existing trio of cafes located in Cambridge, Somerville, and Boston, solidifying Revival’s position as a quintessential culinary destination in Massachusetts.
Founded in 2016 by collaborators Liza Shirazi of Crema Cafe and Steve “Nookie” Postal of Commonwealth Market & Restaurant, Revival was born out of a desire to create high-quality coffee, pastries, and savory staples. Liza’s dedication to a world-class coffee program and Nookie’s diverse culinary expertise combine to create a cafe where exceptional beverages and food coexist harmoniously.
Notably, Liza and Nookie recently formed a hospitality group, MORE Hospitality, marking a significant milestone. Under this umbrella, the duo introduced Mothership, an “after-work sanctuary” with a “family-friendly environment,” seamlessly connected to the Revival location in Cambridge.
According to Nookie, the Watertown cafe boasts “lots of natural light, lighting fast Wi-Fi, outlets for days,” and a full menu identical to the Somerville and Cambridge outposts. Patrons can look forward to favorites like the Bagelicious, Jimmy Pesto, and Classic Cinnamon Coffee Cake. A delightful outdoor dining space is also in the works, set to be unveiled in April. Meanwhile, the Lexington location mirrors its counterparts with a similarly identical menu. Nookie expresses excitement about becoming an integral part of the community, envisioning the cafe as a meeting place for lively conversation, great food, exceptional coffee, and positive vibes.
