Hannah’s Brewing Co., Melroses’s first brewery and taproom, is poised to welcome guests to 364 Main St, following the unanimous approval of the license application by the Liquor Licensing Commission. Co-founders Jason Taggart and Mike Snow are busy preparing the space, with beer-making equipment being installed and construction underway for the new bar area.

In a community that was among Massachusetts’ lingering dry areas just fifteen years ago, this development holds significant weight for local craft beer enthusiasts. At the brewery, patrons can enjoy their beverages on-site or opt to take away a 4-pack.

While Hannah’s Brewing Co. will prioritize beer over cuisine, Snow told Boston Business Journal that patrons are encouraged to bring food from one of the many nearby restaurants, including Turner’s Seafood, Mexico Lindo, and Liberty Bell.

With Taggart’s expertise as a seasoned brewer, having played a pivotal role in the success of Boston’s Democracy Brewing, and Snow’s background in music and event planning, the duo’s combined experience bodes well for the future of Hannah’s Brewing Co.

The brewery is hoping to open by the end of March 2024, so keep an eye out for more details as they become available, and track the construction progress by following Hannah’s Brewing Co. on Instagram.
