A La Esh, an Israeli-inspired southern barbecue spot located in Sharon, is gearing up to reopen its doors at its original location, 366 S Main St, following the restaurant’s closure in the fall of 2022. Restaurateur and chef Avi Shemtov, the driving force behind the establishment, is excited to welcome back patrons for its official grand reopening. A La Esh also operates out of a food truck, but its future is currently uncertain.

Shemtov, who established The Shemtov Group in June 2010, is renowned for his diverse portfolio of local eateries such as Simcha, The Chubby Chickpea, and Hummus v’Hummus. Notably, Hummus v’Hummus recently ceased operations at 366 S Main St, where A La Esh is set to reopen, to focus solely on catering.

In a recent Facebook post, Shemtov unveiled an updated A La Esh menu with the caption, “Stay tuned.” Showcasing influences from both the American South and Israel, the menu features an array of meat and meat-free options including smoked meat, smoked salmon, and smoked hummus, complemented by a selection of sides, salads, sandwiches, soups, street tacos, kebabs, drinks, and desserts.

While Shemtov confirmed the development with What Now Boston, a reopening date has not yet been disclosed. With excitement brewing for its grand return, A La Esh promises to delight guests once more with its wide range of smoked dishes and savory sides.
