A Burlington-based bagel shop is preparing to bring its signature bagels and coffee to 11 Thompson St in Winchester. With approval from the select board secured just last night, The Bagel Bar is set to open its second location in the spring of 2024.
Established in 2020 by owner Michael Toulopoulos, who also owns Newtowne Grille in Billerica and Olde Towne Liquors in Burlington, The Bagel Bar boasts a diverse menu featuring an array of freshly baked bagels, open-faced bagel toasts, sandwiches, and “coff-tails.”
Guests can enjoy classic bagel flavors like plain and wheat, as well as more adventurous options such as chocolate chip and French toast, with gluten-free and vegan alternatives also on offer. Cream cheese is available either as a topping or for takeaway by the half-pound.
In addition to traditional bagels, the eatery offers toast and sandwich choices like the Avocado Toast, Mediterranean Sandwich, and Caprese Press. Coffee enthusiasts can find classic offerings like iced coffee or indulge in inventive beverages like the Milky Way or Chocolate Covered Strawberry Shakeratos.
