A small chain of customizable hot pot restaurants is making its way to Allston.

According to a Boston Restaurant Talk report, Mala Town is coming to 194 Harvard Ave, taking over the former Tasty Pot space.

Yang Gao, the founder and CEO of Mala Town, told What Now Boston that the restaurant is scheduled to open in the coming weeks.

At Mala Town, diners can craft their perfect build-your-own bowl by choosing from various soup bases, ranging from chicken and beef bone broths to tomato-flavored vegan and Sichuan spicy broths. Guests can then add their choice of proteins, vegetables, sauces, and rice to complete their meal.

Currently, Mala Town operates six U.S. locations across Nevada, New York, California, and New Jersey, all of which are under corporate ownership.
