A local restaurant group will soon add a new concept to its portfolio.
COJE Management Group is planning a Sicilian-inspired concept in downtown Boston, according to an article from Restaurant Hospitality (via Boston Restaurant Talk). The yet-to-be-named restaurant will join two other COJE ventures—Mariel and Underground—inside the same building in Post Office Square.
COJE currently operates eight Boston establishments: RUKA, Mariel, Underground (at Mariel), Lolita, Yvonne’s, Coquette, Caveau, and Mr. H.
While details are still in the works, COJE CEO and co-founder Chris Jamison said the group is taking a “foundational” approach to the restaurant’s cuisine, inspired by the melting pot nature of Sicilian cooking.
“We’re going to do some deep dives into those Middle Eastern, North African, and Mediterranean cuisines and really pull a menu together that speaks to all of that,” Jamison told Restaurant Hospitality.
The restaurant will also feature a members-only club downstairs—an element Jamison believes will resonate with COJE’s clientele.
Construction is already underway, but an opening date has not yet been announced.
