According to a construction permit filed with the city of Wimauma on Aug 8 and updated yesterday, Oct 4, a new Dunkin’ Baskin-Robbins outpost will be coming to 14375 US-301.

The franchisee, Ponta Delgada Donuts LLC, could not be immediately reached for comment, or to confirm when the ice cream and donut shop might open.

Dunkin’ and Baskin-Robbins, which were both acquired by Inspire Brands in 2020, are doubtlessly two of the largest quick-service dessert names in the country, with upwards of 19,000 global locations combined.

Incidentally, Dunkin’ made its debut in Wimauma’s Hillsborough County back in 1973, when “The Apostoleres family saw Dunkin’ as an opportunity to create something long-lasting for themselves and their community,” according to the company’s official Tampa website. “Four decades later, the network now consists of 19 Dunkin’ / Baskin-Robbins stores throughout Hillsborough County, Florida. And we continue to grow, with multiple stores in the pipeline.”
