Latte Bakery, a new 70-seat Latin-inspired lunch spot and cafe, is currently under construction in the storefront formerly occupied by Harvest Meat Market at 3055 Cypress Gardens Rd, with plans to open by mid-November, according to co-owner Christina Sainz De La Maza.

Christina is opening the business with her brother, executive chef and baker Alberto Sainz De La Maza, whose “passion and goal” has always been to open a restaurant.

“We decided to open a bakery for the same reason that we’re a family-owned business – we believe in family values – and we decided that a bakery brings smiles to families…It’s not about giving food, it’s about enjoying family time and sharing your table.”

On the retail side, Latte Bakery will sell fresh bread made in-house daily, while the lunch menu will feature sandwiches. However, the long-term goal is to establish a dinner menu as well, with dishes inspired by the family’s Spanish roots such as Tortilla Española and Paella.

In a unique twist, Christina and Alberto also run a multimedia production company, and the restaurant will house their TV studio that broadcasts live 24 hours a day.
