Mighty Quinn’s BBQ, the Brooklyn-based restaurant known for its slow-cooked meats over a wood fire, recently signed a multi-unit franchise deal with the Tampa-based restaurant team, TBBQ Restaurant Group, with the first location set to open at 202 N Dale Mabry Hwy on Oct 22.
A representative of TBBQ Restaurant Group could not be immediately reached for details on subsequent locations in its multi-unit agreement.
In an article published in QSR Magazine earlier this week, Mighty Quinn’s Co-CEO Micha Magid said, “As Mighty Quinn’s continues its national franchise expansion, we are thrilled to open in Tampa Bay with our first drive-thru location in what will be the first of many restaurants in Florida. Drive-thru lanes have become a valuable attribute to fast casual real estate and we are fortunate our franchisees were able to secure this premium location in the fast-growing Tampa market.”
Mighty Quinn’s, which launched in 2012, boasts 11 locations across New York, Maryland, New Jersey, and Florida, as well as one international outpost in Dubai.
According to its website, the company’s mission and approach are simple, “source the best quality ingredients we can and don’t fuss with them too much,” adding, “We cook our barbecue the old school way with plenty of wood and time, adding just the right amount of salt and spice to let that lovely marriage of process and product evolve into something transcendent.”
