Serving up the “best-tasting smoothie on the Planet!®Planet Smoothie serves up its healthy drinks at approximately 125 locations. A new outpost is set to open in Lakeland on March 3, brought to Polk County by first-time Planet Smoothie franchisee Bhavesh Patel.

“Everywhere, the trend is healthy,” Patel said, asked what had led him to franchise with Planet Smoothie. “And I really like the Planet Smoothie product. It’s pure, healthy, fruit smoothies.”

Planet Smoothie’s products come in varieties based on nutrition: Energy, Protein, Meal Replacement, Superfood, and more. Superfood varieties include Pineapple Tropi-Kale Twist (leafy greens, passion fruit, pineapple, almond milk) and Dragon Fruit Lemon Splash, while Meal Replacement Smoothies include Peanut Butter Punch (peanut butter, bananas, whey meal replacement protein) and Cookie Crusher.

Patel says he recently landed on a new favorite variety. While learning to make the brand’s smoothies, he was introduced to the recently debuted Amazon Kick, with açai, blueberries, strawberries, and bananas. You can get an Amazon Kick smoothie when Planet Smoothie Lakeland opens next month at 1606 Town Center Drive. In fact, you can get two: the new Planet Smoothie location will be offering BOGO smoothies for its first year.

“Just come try it,” said Patel. “It’s a great spot, there’s a movie theater next door; there’s a lot to enjoy.”

After opening in March, Patel says he plans to open several more Plan Smoothie outposts in the area, with a second Polk County location expected in about a year’s time.
