Founded by Mark Setterington with a “vision to transport guests to a white-sand beach in the tropical islands through incredibly fresh flavors,” Island Fin Poke Company has grown to include almost thirty locations in states as far-flung as Florida, Nevada, and Rhode Island.

The chain is now planning its second Sarasota County location in Nokomis, at 997 N Tamiami Trail.

The Island Fin menu features Signature Bowls like the Ahi Tuna Bowl (white rice, Ahi Tuna, edamame, corn, OG sauces, pineapple mango salsa, spicy pickled veggies, scallions, togarashi, sesame seeds, crispy onion) and the Korean BBB chicken bowl (white rice, KBBQ chicken, sweet onions, corn, kimchi, spicy pickled vegetables, scallions, togarashi, sesame seeds).

The chain also offers Dole Soft Serve and a selection of fountain beverages.

What Now reached out on Tuesday to franchisee Marc Van Dam to inquire about plans for the Nokomis location. Van Dam was not immediately available.
