The intersection of 68th Avenue and Gulf Boulevard in St. Petersburg is the future home of Branzini, a new restaurant offering cuisine from all over the Mediterranean. Branzini will open soon at 6800 Gulf Blvd.
“It’s going to be authentic Mediterranean food,” Tazo, who owns the restaurant, told What Now on Friday. “It’s going to be a lot of olive oil and garlic, seven or eight different fish, steaks, lamb chops, chicken salad, pasta.”
Tazo is also behind Downtown St. Pete’s The German Knodle, which serves up dishes from German cuisine (and other European cuisines) on Central Avenue.
Opening in a sizable space that will seat about 160 guests, Branzini will also have a full liquor bar and will house special events like live music and parties. It will be open from 8 a.m. to midnight daily.
