Located at 2662 Central Ave. in St. Petersburg’s Grand Central District, locally operated cafe and coffee roaster Bandit Coffee Co. has been “serving our hometown of sunny St. Petersburg, FL since 2015,” when it was founded by owners Sarah and Joshua Weaver.

The same team is currently at work on a new wine bar, called Spitz Wine Bar, which will open nearby at 2520 Central Ave, according to recent coverage by I Love the Burg.

“COMING 2024,” says recent Instagram post by Spitz Wine Bar. “It’s official y’all, we’ve signed a lease and have set a path to open early/mid next year within the Grand Central District. More details to come.”

What Now contacted Joshua Weaver on Monday to inquire about plans for Spitz Wine Bar. Weaver said Spitz is not yet revealing any information about its menu or overall brand profile. And so Spitz remains—for now—a bit of a mystery. Be sure to check back for updates as more information is revealed.

And in the meantime, follow @spitzwinebar on Instagram to keep up with news about the brand’s rollout.
