Burrito-and-bowl fast-casual megachain Chipotle Mexican Grill is continuing to build out its St. Petersburg footprint. The wheels are turning on a new location opening at 3951 34th Street S in St. Pete’s Skyway Marina District, according to recent coverage by St. Pete Rising.
The location in question is part of the retail space located at Addison Skyway Marina Apartments, “a 308-unit apartment building that opened in 2022 on the site of a former underutilized strip center that was previously home to a K-Mart store.”
The retail building has yet to be built, and Chipotle’s construction costs (listed at $1.1 million) include a drive-thru at the building, the St. Pete coverage says.
Chipotle’s burritos, bowls, tacos, and more come with protein choices like Chicken, Steak, Barbacoa, (for a limited time) Carne Asada. There are also options for diners with plant-based diners, including Sofritas and Veggie. These are topped off with rice, beans, and toppers like Roasted Chili-Corn Salsa, Tomatillo Green Salsa, Fajita Veggies, and more.
Opening in the 34th Street location, Chipotle will join other nearby casual and fast-casual restaurants like Dunkin’ and IHOP.
