Growing chicken wing chain Sugar Wing is about to make its Tampa Bay debut. The chain, which is currently planning an expansion in the Tampa Bay market, is about to open its first location in the area in Seminole City Center. A second will follow in Carrollwood’s Westgate Plaza shopping center later this spring.

“Sugar Wing is elevating the crispy chicken eating experience,” says the Sugar Wing website. “Our delicious wings are complemented by a selection of crispy strips, craveable sandwiches, salads, unique dipper fries and more!”

What Now confirmed the news on Tuesday with Hitesh Savla, owner of Emfire Brands, the franchisee behind the locations. In addition to the menu’s many craveable items, an important aspect for Emfire brands is the presence on the menu of vegetarian choices, Savla said. These include the Sugar Shroom mushroom burger, along with Sugar Wing’s selection of salads.

Anchored by a Publix Super Market, Westgate Plaza is situated on the southwest corner of the intersection between Anderson Road and FL-587 in Tampa’s Carrollwood neighborhood.
