A new Texas Roadhouse location looks to be coming to the Columbus area, according to a permit filing with the city. The permit is for construction of a new Texas Roadhouse restaurant at 6088 N Hamilton Rd, in Westerville. Details in the permit state that the work is for a single-story, standalone building and the projected cost of the project is $750,000.
According to a detailed site plan document associated with the permit filing that has been viewed by What Now Columbus, the eatery is slated to sit on a parcel of land that is just over 2 acres. The plans further detail that the interior will be over 8,000 square feet, with a 473 square foot patio.
Contrary to its name, Texas Roadhouse got its start in Clarksville, Indiana, in 1993, according to information on the company’s website. The eatery is known for serving steaks, ribs, seafood, burgers and sandwiches. Sides include potatoes served in a number of ways, such as mashed, baked or as fries, along with baked sweet potatoes, in addition to salads, green beans and steamed vegetables. There’s also a number of shareables including the cactus blossom, which is a fried onion dish served with dipping sauce, as well as fried pickles, potato skins and boneless wings.
