Tommy Bahama Marlin Bar is planning to open its first outpost in the San Antonio area — coming to The Shops at La Cantera later this year.
According to a recently filed construction permit application, Robert F. Vanney Architect Inc. will begin renovating the 7,182-square-foot space on May 31 — tasked with constructing retail, restaurant, and patio areas for an estimated $1,000,000.
In line with existing outposts, on the menu will be appetizers — including a duo of dips, coconut shrimp, and buffalo cauliflower — salads, sliders, sandwiches, paninis, quesadillas, and tacos loaded with blackened shrimp, mango salsa, island slaw, and chipotle aioli.
To drink, patrons can order specialty cocktails like mojitos, mai tais, and margaritas, as well as spiked teas and wine.
While an opening date has not been announced yet, construction is slated for completion by November of this year.
Tommy Bahama Marlin Bar, in combination with Tommy Bahama’s full-service restaurant concept, has 21 locations throughout Arizona, California, Florida, Hawaii, Nevada, New York, and Texas.
