Fast-casual pizza restaurant chain MOD Pizza is planning to build a new location in San Antonio. According to a recent construction license application, it’s coming to 7511 South New Braunfels Avenue in Brooks City Base, near apartments The Landings at Brooks City-Base and The Greeline Park, and across the highway from Embassy Suites

What Now San Antonio was unable to contact franchisee Kolenda Pink for comment. Nevertheless, the application provides a bit of insight into what’s to come.

The project is described as the interior build-out of an existing 2,800-square-foot space that will total an estimated $400,000. Construction will begin in August and is slated for completion in October, and the Dallas-based architecture firm CallisonRTKL will be behind the renovation.

For readers who are unfamiliar with the Seattle-based concept, the eatery’s website provides an introduction: “The MOD experience is built around high-quality, personalized products delivered superfast. Our individually sized pizzas and hand-tossed salads are fully customizable, with more than 40 toppings, 8 finishing sauces, and 8 delectable dressings.”

Since MOD Pizza was founded by Scott and Ally Svenson in 2008, it has expanded to over 500 locations across the states, as well as one in Canada.

An opening date has not yet been announced, so stay tuned to MOD Pizza’s Facebook and Instagram for additional updates.
