Pan-Asian restaurant chain Pei Wei is expanding its Texas footprint, planning to open a new outpost in the Far West Side. According to public records, the eatery is coming to 9610 TX-151 #105 — a spot previously home to a QuickTrip gas station — near Chicken Salad Chick, Dave’s Hot Chicken, and Sprouts Farmers Market.

What Now San Antonio was unable to contact a restaurant representative before the time of publication, but a recently filed construction permit application provides some insight into what’s to come.

The project is described as the finish-out of an existing 2,200 square-foot space, slated to begin on August 1 and finish on January 8 — costing an estimated $300,000 to complete.

For readers who are unfamiliar with the business, Pei Wei is a counter-serve Pan-Asian concept known for its health-conscious noodle and rice dishes. Some menu options include entrées like beef & broccoli rice, orange chicken, and spicy drunken noodles, as well as salads, sharable appetizers, and desserts.

An opening date has not yet been announced, so follow Pei Wei on Facebook and Instagram for additional updates.
