Spark Restaurants, the owner and operator of 33 Wendy’s locations throughout San Antonio, plans to introduce another outpost.

According to a recent permit application, the restaurant group is looking to bring the fast-casual eatery to 6038 Old Pearsall Road as part of the recent retail development Pearsall Plaza — making it one of the first reported businesses to join the space.

What Now San Antonio reached out to Sanjay Mehra, the CEO of Spark Restaurants, but he was unable to provide additional information before the time of publication.

Nevertheless, the filing provides some insight into what’s to come.

The project is described as the “new construction” of a 1,992-square-foot space and is slated to begin on August 15, finishing by November 8. In total, the job is estimated to cost $900,000.

An opening date has not yet been announced, so follow Spark Restaurants on Facebook and Instagram for additional updates.

For readers who are unfamiliar with Spark Restaurants, the business has a presence statewide — beyond San Antonio, Spark owns 36 Wendy’s in Dayton and eight Buffalo Wild Wings across Texas.
