Today, Ohio-based fast-casual chain Marco’s Pizza is debuting a new delivery and carryout location in San Antonio at 1455 Austin Highway — near McDonald’s, Panda Express, and Sonic.
Franchisee Craig Savage tells What Now San Antonio that this will mark his and his wife Dian Savage’s — as well as partners Tom and Maria Richison’s — fifth outpost in San Antonio, in addition to the two that they operate in Mission, Texas.
Savage also confirms that a sixth San Antonio outpost is underway at 14124 Culebra Road, Suite 106 — slated to open at the end of the year.
According to a recent permit application, the Culebra Road renovation project is a tenant finish out of a 1400-square-foot space. Construction is slated to begin on July 17 and be completed by November 30 — and the work will be carried out by S-Cubed Architects, costing an estimated $310,000
For readers who are unfamiliar with the chain, Marco’s Pizza has been around since 1978 and is known for build-your-own pizzas, pizza bowls, subs, salads, sides such as chicken wings and “cheezybread,” and, for dessert, “cinnasquares.”
