Buc-ee’s, a popular travel station and fast-casual dining spot, plans to begin constructing a 53,471-square-foot outpost in Boerne this fall.

According to a recently submitted permit application, the location is coming to I-10 and US 87 Business, just down the road from Methodist ER and across the highway from Tractor Supply and Vistas Apartments.

The filing details that construction is scheduled to begin on October 1 — wrapping up around the same time next year — and is to be carried out by the Houston-based firm LA Architects, LLC, costing an estimated $38,000,000 in total.

What Now San Antonio reached out to Josh Smith, Director of Operations at Buc-ee’s, to inquire about pertinent details regarding the development, but he was not immediately available for comment.

For readers who are unfamiliar with the franchise, Buc-ee’s functions primarily as a fueling station and travel stop for commuters. The brand sets itself apart by offering an astounding variety of Buc-ee’s brand snacks, as well as a selection of serious food offerings — such as pastrami reuben, tacos, bar-b-q, and kolaches.
