Burger Boy, a San Antonio-based fast-casual chain, plans to open its eighth location. According to public records, the eatery will construct a new restaurant from the ground up at 14541 Potranco Road — near establishments such as Midas, QuickTrip, and Whataburger.
The local burger business announced the news on its Facebook last month, writing, “Burger Boy is excited to continue its expansion and will be opening a new location on the corner of Potranco & 211, the far west side of San Antonio.”
What Now San Antonio was unable to contact a business representative before the time of publication. Nevertheless, a recent construction permit application provides further insight.
The project is described as the construction of a “new, 2,350-square-foot, wood-framed, one-story, fast-food restaurant.” According to the application, construction is slated to begin on April 4, 2024, and finish by September — costing an estimated $1,100,000 in total.
For readers unfamiliar with Burger Boy, the chain is known for “The Working Man” — a combo that includes a double burger, a large order of fries, and a large drink. In addition to burgers and fries, the eatery serves milkshakes in flavors like Big Red, root beer, Fruity Pebbles, and Dreamsicle.
According to the post, the Potranco Road outpost is slated to open in 2023. Follow the eatery on Facebook and Instagram for updates in the meantime.
