Alamo Biscuit Co. & Panadería, a breakfast restaurant where “Tex-Mex takes on comfort food classics,” is expanding in San Antonio — planning to open a new location next week.
Coming to the Coates Student Center food court at Trinity University, Alamo will be one of three rotating local restaurants participating in the college’s Taste of San Antonio program.
Owner John Vale shares with What Now San Antonio that the eatery also recently opened at Methodist Hospital Metropolitan at 1310 McCullough Avenue, where “the restaurant has signed on for a multi-year lease inside the hospital for a counter-service location inside the main lobby,” according to MySA.
For readers who are unfamiliar with the concept, Alamo is known for its breakfast, brunch, and lunch selection that ranges from Tex-Mex options such as tacos and tortilla soup to biscuit benedicts and hotcakes.
“All of our food, including our signature biscuits, is made in-house with the finest ingredients, ensuring quality and guaranteeing satisfaction with every bite,” Alamo shares on its website.

And stay tuned — Vale also discloses that he is currently reviewing a lease for a brick-and-mortar space, which, if everything goes according to plan, would open sometime next year.
