Swig, a Utah-based drive-thru chain known for its flavorful sodas, is planning to open a new outpost in New Braunfels, according to a recently submitted permit application.
Coming to 1280 I 35 Frontage Road #100, the shop will soon neighbor establishments such as Panda Express, Raising Cane’s, and Starbucks.
For readers unfamiliar with the franchise, Swig specializes in customizable sodas, offering more than 100 potential drink combinations. Flavors include blackberry, coconut, and peach, to name just a few.
What Now San Antonio reached out to franchisee Alex Hanson to inquire about the expansion, but he could not offer additional information before publication.

Described as a “tenant improvement for a Swig facility in an existing building,” renovations to the 1,500-square-foot space are slated to begin on January 22, 2024, and be completed on August 3. For an estimated $550,000, the project will be carried out by Babcock Design.
