San Antonio chef Jason Dady — the restaurateur behind local concepts such as Jardin, Range, Two Bros BBQ, and Tre Trattoria — plans to debut a new restaurant at the Spurs’ Frost Plaza in 2024.

Roca & Martillo — Italian for “rock and hammer,” referencing the team’s guiding principle, “pound the rock” — is described as an Italian restaurant “with South Texas inflections” in a recent article published by Austin Eater.

According to the report, locals can expect the menu to offer “smoked brisket lasagna, bourbon-honey-glazed Texas quail with a wheat grain risotto, Tuscan-style marinated steaks, and wood-fired flatbreads.” The space itself will boast indoor and outdoor seating with a rooftop patio.

Roca & Martillo will mark Dady’s second concept with the Spurs — he opened a Two Bros BBQ at the Frost Bank Center earlier this year.

Roca & Martillo at the Spurs facility at the Rock at La Cantera is slated to open in the spring.
