Local dining concept Mr. Teriyaki is debuting a second outpost in San Antonio following the success of its flagship location at 6824 San Pedro Avenue.

Coming to 8603 Highway 151, Suite 109, the eatery will land near establishments such as Freebirds, Jamba Juice, and Panera Bread.

Co-owner Yi Chen — who operates the business alongside his brother — tells What Now San Antonio that the new location will have an improved appetizer menu and a greater selection of sushi, as well as offer beer.

For readers who are unfamiliar with Mr. Teriyaki, the family-owned restaurant offers a hibachi-style experience with a menu that ranges from mein noodles to fried rice and various teriyaki dishes — and while Chen is not the chef, he makes all of the sauces himself.

According to a recently submitted permit application, renovations to the 3,2860-square-foot space are scheduled to begin on April 15 and finish in late September.

Mr. Teriyaki is slated to open before the end of the year.
