According to a recently submitted permit application, Laredo-based fast-casual chain Taco Palenque is expanding its San Antonio footprint.

Coming to 5706 Northwest Loop 410, the eatery will take over a 5,460-square-foot spot near establishments such as Panda Express, Powerdise City Gym, and Sabor Mexico Mezcal.

The filing discloses that Taco Palenque plans to renovate the existing space for an estimated $300,000, with construction slated to begin on March 31 and be completed by December 8.

For readers who are unfamiliar with the chain, Taco Palenque has been around since 1987 and is known for fast-casual Mexican food, or “Fresh Mex” as they like to call it. Menu options include tacos, quesadillas, enchiladas, fajitas, flautas, burritos, parrilladas, and antojitos.

Ever-expanding, Taco Palenque has opened over 34 outposts throughout Texas — and one in Monterrey.

An opening date has not yet been set, so stay tuned for updates.
