According to a recently submitted permit application, Buc-ee’s plans to renovate its 1700-square-foot New Braunfels outpost at 2760 IH-35 — near establishments such as In-N-Out Burger, Sea Island Shrimp House, and Target.

The filing details that the “interior remodel” — which will include millwork, electrical, plumbing, and installing kitchen equipment — is scheduled to begin on May 15 and be completed by July 1 and will cost an estimated $600,000.

What Now San Antonio reached out to Josh Smith, Director of Operations at Buc-ee’s, to inquire about pertinent details regarding the development, but he was not immediately available for comment.

For readers who are unfamiliar with the travel station and fast-casual dining spot chain, Buc-ee’s functions primarily as a fueling station and travel stop for commuters. The brand sets itself apart by offering an astounding variety of Buc-ee’s brand snacks, as well as a selection of serious food offerings — such as pastrami reuben, tacos, bar-b-q, and kolaches.
