The Salt Lick Coming to Fredericksburg

According to a recent press release, a San Antonio-based real estate management firm, LB Development is debuting a new mixed-use lifestyle center in Fredericksburg.

Coming to the Highway 290 Wine Trail, The Sycamore will be a 117-acre development that features Salt Lick BBQ, Salt Lick Cellars, a tasting room, and a shop that features The Salt Lick’s brand of wines and more. 

“We could not think of a better place to plant our roots than in Fredericksburg,” said The Salt Lick owner and pitmaster Scott Roberts. He adds, “We have found the perfect partner in The Sycamore, and can’t wait to see the whole project come to fruition.”

“We are committed to bringing the same top-notch food and service to the development and hope to add some flair and excitement with the addition of The Salt Lick BBQ, Salt Lick Cellars, and a brand new soon-to-be-announced concept that we’re very excited about. It’s something we have had in the works for quite some time.”

The press release states that the Sycamore development will feature landscaped walkways, creek beds, a bandstand and shaded canopies. It will host celebrations, holidays, local and regional gatherings, and events.

The Sycamore is slated to open in 2025. Stay tuned for updates.
