According to a recently submitted permit application, Panera Bread is gearing up to debut a new outpost in New Braunfels.

Coming to 261 Creekside Way, the eatery will land near establishments such as the department store Belk, Men’s Wearhouse, and New Braunfels Town Center at Creekside.

What Now San Antonio reached out to the location’s franchisee, Cheryl Outz, to inquire about her plans for the spot, but she could not provide additional information before publication.

Nevertheless, the filing reveals that the finish-out of the existing 2,400-square-foot space is scheduled to begin on March 15 and finish on July 21, 2025. For an estimated $585,000, the project will be carried out by St. Louis-based firm ARCVISION.

For readers who are unfamiliar with the fast-casual concept, Panera offers a brief introduction on its website: “Panera began in 1987 as St. Louis Bread Company, a humble community bakery founded with a sourdough starter from San Francisco and a dream of putting a loaf of bread in every arm.”

“While our business has expanded well beyond St. Louis since then, that same sourdough starter is still used in our iconic sourdough bread, and the craft of baking bread fresh each day remains at the heart of Panera Bread. Each day our trained bakers fill our bakery shelves with delicious freshly baked cookies, pastries, bagels, and a range of breads from focaccia to classic baguettes,” the statement continues.

An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
