A new cafe is opening its doors in Miami’s Brickell neighborhood. Called Lavka, the new “cafe and gourmet” spot will open at 766 SW First Court, according to plan review paperwork submitted by Loveka LLC.

What Now confirmed news of the opening with co-owner Oleg Sheremetyev on Tuedsay. Sheremetyev declined to make any immediate comment on the Lavka’s opening timeline or menu offerings, however.

We’re expecting coffee, of course, but that second word, “gourmet,” does leave us wondering: gourmet what? We’ll have to wait and see.

The space at 766 SW First Court is currently occupied by L’Artisteria Pizzeria. It’s situated near Brickell City Center, along with restaurants like Rosa Sky and La Suiza Bakehouse. Other nearby food and drink and choices in this thriving restaurant community include Blackbird Ordinary, Talkin’ Tacos, and Toasted Bagelry & Deli.

What Now is awaiting further information about Lavka.
