What could be better than Paris in springtime? How about all of the charm and flavor of France, minus the cost of a plane ticket or the bother of updating your passport? Frenchie, the latest concept from Travis Street Hospitality, is preparing to bring French fusion cuisine to the DFW, reports Eater DC.

The “all day eatery and bar” will be opening at 8420 Preston Center Plaza in the Plaza at Preston Center storefront that previously housed Corner Bakery. Frenchie, fueled by a menu curated by Bruno Davaillon, will begin greeting guests in late spring, though a precise opening date is not yet available.

While the cuisine will be driven by French flavors and influences, anticipate Mediterranean and California elements to round out the culinary profile.

Paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows that work commenced on the project last October. The completed renovation provides Frenchie with 4,490 square feet for greeting and feeding customers. Guests with a passion for al fresco dining will particularly appreciate the venue’s spacious outdoor patio.
