The Market on Main concept that has found success in Columbia, South Carolina, is heading to Charlotte. Market on Morehead is slated to open in December at 1001 Morehead Square Drive, according to the website.
Market on Morehead will be “a community hub where you can relax, unwind and savor the best of North Carolina,” according to the website. Customers can expect farm-to-table dining featuring dishes made from local ingredients and seasonal menus, as well as craft beverages such as local beers, wines and regionally-inspired cocktails. There will also be live performances from local musicians and entertainers, an outdoor dog-friendly patio with a view of the Charlotte skyline and a 25-foot jumbotron to enjoy live entertainment and special events.
The spot aims to build on the original concept, Market on Main, in Columbia, which serves American cuisine like burgers, steak frites, fish tacos and wagyu flank steak sandwiches. Market on Main opened in 2019. It also acts as an entertainment, restaurant and bar concept, as Market on Morehead will.
“Market on Morehead is a dynamic addition to the Charlotte dining scene,” the Market on Morehead website states. “With a passion for fresh, locally sourced ingredients and a commitment to providing exceptional food and service, we are thrilled to bring our unique approach to food, drinks and entertainment to Morehead Street.”
