According to a recent permit filing with the city a new market with fast casual grab and go items called West Henderson Market is on its way to 2264 W Henderson Rd. The establishment will be in a building that previously housed a kickboxing gym and will feature a carryout menu of items like packaged snacks, candy, cookies, pastries, coffee and bottled drinks.

The area where the market is located doesn’t have a lot of food options, although there is a Bento Go, City Barbecue, Rita’s Italian Ice and Cuco’s Taqueria nearby. Site plans for the facility, which are part of the permit filing and have been viewed by What Now Columbus, show that the back of house portion of the building is being fitted with a grease interceptor, as well as a kitchen space.

While there will be the capability for preparing food on premise, a representative with the business tells What Now Columbus that the market won’t have cooked food options when the business first opens, but may in the future. Additionally, the site plans detail a six foot coffee bar with a coffee machine on site where guests can get their java fix to go.
