A national auto shop retailer continues to expand in the Peach State, with another location in the works in Washington County.

Construction documents indicate that a new Autozone is planned for Sandersville at 102 Walmart Circle. The site is located near – you guessed it – a Walmart.

Autozone is headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee. It is the nation’s leading retailer of auto parts and accessories for cars, SUVs, vans and trucks. They also offer a variety of services, like battery testing and charging, oil recycling, and more.

There are more than 7,000 Autozone locations across the globe, all corporate-owned. A new location is also planned for Covington.

The upcoming Sandersville location will be about 8,000 square feet, according to construction documents. Construction bids for the store will be accepted until Nov. 12, 2024.

Sandersville is located between Atlanta and Savannah.
