Atlanta-based Pollack Shores Real Estate Group is moving forward with plans to develop a 361-unit apartment building in Home Park near the Atlantic Station retail district.

Pollack submitted a multifamily land development building permit application to City of Atlanta Wednesday to develop the land next to IKEA, at 455 14th Street, where the apartments would be constructed. Pollack will demolish the Georgia Tech Foundation building that currently occupies the land.

An estimated $1,300,000 could be spent developing the land, according to the application.

In May, Pollack sought rezoning from City of Atlanta for the land where the commercial real estate developer wants to build the new apartment complex. The land was previously zoned as industrial.
