According to recent reporting, Biggby Coffee franchisees Jeff and Laynae Meyer are planning to open their third location at 5894 N Springboro Pike, in Dayton. The Meyers currently operate the Biggby Coffee locations at 418 Warren St in Dayton and 3821 Cloud Park Dr in Huber Heights. Jeff Meyer tells What Now Columbus that the Springboro Pike location is new construction and will be situated in front of the Meijer grocery store. The store will operate on a drive-thru service model, which is typical for the brand, but there will be an online ordering option available.

Both Jeff and Laynae have a background in business but became passionate about the coffee brand as customers when they lived in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area. When the Dayton natives moved back to their hometown, they decided to become franchisees when they saw the opportunity to bring the chain they loved to the area.

“We liked the Biggby flavors, attitude and values, and how they believe in taking the extra steps to get to know customers and their orders,” Meyer said.

The Meyers are a family of six and having their children involved in the business in various ways is important to the couple. Both Laynae and daughter Raegan will play a big role at the Springboro Pike location. Currently, the Meyers are hoping to open the new store before the end of December, but that timeline is dependent upon several factors.

With over 300 locations throughout the Midwest and the East Coast, and more than 40 stores in Ohio, Biggby Coffee serves traditional drip coffee, espresso drinks like lattes and americanos, as well as tea and signature smoothies called a creme freeze. In addition to drinks, guests can also find bagels, muffins and breakfast sandwiches.
