Sports retailer expanding into Forever Diamonds shop next door.
Champs Sports has plans to increase its footprint in Lenox Square Mall.
Footlocker Inc., the retailer’s parent company, submitted a building permit application to City of Atlanta Friday to expand Champs into an adjacent 7,270 square foot space.
A manager at the sports retailer told What Now Atlanta in an interview Monday Champs will take over the spot currently occupied by Forever Diamonds.
An estimated $200,000 will be spent in commercial alterations. Champs will complete its renovations by January 2015.
