Hair salon of independently owned booths files plans for Ansley Square.
Columbus-based Salon Lofts has plans to open a Midtown location.
The Shopping Center Group (TSCG) submitted a building permit application to City of Atlanta Monday to make commercial alterations to second-story space at Ansley Square for the hair salon.
An estimated $275,000 will be spent converting space at the Piedmont Heights shopping center into the nearly 4,500-square-foot Salon Lofts.
Salon Lofts, unlike traditional salons that hire stylists or rent booths in the shop, supplies stylists loft space and the necessary software and tools (marketing, scheduling, etc.) to run their own independent businesses.
The Ansley Square space will be the sixth Salon Lofts location in Georgia and is expected to open in April 2015, according to the hair salon’s website.
[Editors note: this post was updated to reflect the correct location of the Salon Lofts as Ansley Square, not Ansley Mall.]
May want to check your facts – Salon Lofts sign is hanging from Ansley Square (former Riteaid). Selig leases and manages their properties in-house, and they own Ansley Mall, a different property.
Chris,
Thanks for the note. We went back to the permit application and your comments are correct. The post has been updated to reflect the correct shopping center.
