Start your engines: Something new is racing to Atlanta.

F1 Arcade is slated to open its first location in the South in West Midtown at The Interlock. The more than 15,000-square-foot venue will feature 68 full-motion racing simulators and a 1,078-square-foot patio.

The concept aims to immerse visitors in the world of Formula 1 via full-motion simulators of tracks from around the world. In addition to the racing simulation, guests can also enjoy a menu of globally inspired dishes and a wide range of beverages, including cocktails, wine, craft beer, mocktails and more.

F1 Arcade first opened in London in December 2022. The Atlanta venue, part of the brand’s plans to expand in the U.S., follows the launch of venues in Boston and Washington, D.C., in 2024. Three additional cities – Las Vegas, Denver and Philadelphia – are expected to get an F1 Arcade this year, with plans to open 30 locations globally by the end of 2027.

“We are excited to announce our expansion into the South as we bring our adrenaline-packed experience to Atlanta following our success in Boston and Washington, D.C.,” US President of F1 Arcade Jon Gardner said in a statement. “Known for its rich sports and food scene, Atlanta is a perfect fit for the next phase of F1 Arcade’s growth.”

F1 Arcade is expected to open in Atlanta in late 2025. It will be located on the corner of 14th Street and Interlock Avenue. The Interlock is a mixed-use destination with dining, retail and more.

F1 Arcade joins other entertainment experiences at The Interlock, including Puttshack, The Escape Game and Sandbox VR.

Drew Lewis and Alan Shaw of The Shopping Center Group represented Armada Hoffler in the transaction for the location. Robert Johnson with Emerging Concepts represented the tenant.

“We’re excited to welcome a new entertainment concept to The Interlock,” Armada Hoffler CEO Shawn Tibbetts said in a statement.  “F1 Arcade is unique to the market and complements our existing line-up of tech-infused, immersive experiences. The Interlock will continue to be a top destination in Atlanta.”
