King Kong Milktea has plans to add at least two new local storefronts to its current five-location roster. The most recent lease was secured at 4835 Sugarloaf Pkwy and the company’s website already advertises another local outpost as “coming soon” to 4935 Jimmy Carter Blvd Suite 300 in Norcross.

King Kong Milktea was created by “Bubble Tea enthusiast” Allen Nguyen, bringing in bubble tea “addicts” and first-timers alike. King Kong Milktea’s goal is to introduce its guests to a healthier option in a “peaceful” environment. Nguyen is native to Taiwan, the country that put bubble tea in the worldwide spotlight.

On top of bubble tea, King Kong Milktea offers beverages like fruit tea, smoothies, juices, and Vietnamese coffee. “We have devoted countless hours combining milk and tea leaves to create various tasty drinks for you to enjoy,” the website states. While King Kong Milktea participates in the worldwide bubble tea phenomenon, its is also part of the growing trend of offering bubble waffles, also known as Hong Kong waffles or egg waffles, much like Bubble Boba, opening up on 2162 Highway 20 W in McDonough, at The Shops At Westridge.

In what will occupy the space previously leased by Quiznos, King Kong Milktea should open sometime in November, as per the lease obtained by What Now Atlanta.
