A new Buckhead-area location of Little Rey is targeting a spring 2024 opening.

The Northern Mexican-inspired restaurant will be located in the Northcreek Office Park redevelopment at 3715 Northside Parkway.

Little Rey is a concept from Ford Fry, whose restaurant group includes several concepts in Atlanta and beyond, including Superica, The Optimist, BeetleCat, Marcel, No. 246 and St. Cecilia.

Little Rey specializes in chicken al carbon, along with traditional street-style tacos, salads, fresh salsas with hand-made tortillas, and rotating soft-serve flavors for dessert. Also on the menu are migas breakfast tacos (with chorizo, bacon, potato, steak or mushroom, kale and poblano) and pancakes on weekends.

The 5,500-square-foot space was built by DeCarlo Hawker Architecture and Design and designed by Smith Hanes Studio. According to information shared with What Now Atlanta, “the charming and rustic hangout will flaunt a mix of rose pink, deep blue and soft sage hues, with accents of reclaimed wood and Old-World Mexico-inspired hand-painted signage, vintage memorabilia (think Mexican festival masks) and standout pieces by a curated collection of artists from Atlanta and Austin.”

There will also be a covered patio and walk-up window for grab-and-go orders.

Curated by beverage director Eduardo Porto Carreiro, the beverage program includes both on-the-rocks and frozen margaritas, a revolving array of house-made agua frescas, Mexican beers and local and regional craft ales.

Little Rey first opened in Piedmont Heights in 2019. In addition to the upcoming Northside Parkway location, an outpost will also be opening in Johns Creek at the 43-acre Medley development. Little Rey is also expanding outside the Peach State in 2024, with locations planned for Raleigh and Houston.

The Northside Parkway location of Little Rey is currently hiring for several positions, including an executive chef, an executive sous chef, a cook and a shift leader.

Along with Little Rey, breakfast eatery and coffee shop The Daily will also be opening at the Northside Parkway business complex.
