A large rural lifestyle retailer is seeking to open a store in Alpharetta.

Tractor Supply Company is proposing a store near North Point Village Shopping Center, according to ToNeToAtl.com.

The building used to be occupied by Ethan Allen. According to a LoopNet listing, the building makes a great fit for “Medical space, big box retail or furniture stores.” The one-story structure is 34,200 square feet and was built in 1997.

Founded in 1938, Tractor Supply Company is headquartered in Brentwood, Tennessee. The retailer sells supplies for recreational farmers, ranchers, homeowners and gardeners. Products include lawnmowers, outdoor furniture, tools, gardening supplies, sporting goods and more.

As of late 2023, the company operated more than 2,200 stores in 49 states, including several in Georgia. The company also owns and operates Petsense by Tractor Supply, a pet supply retailer.

Officials from Tractor Supply Company could not immediately be reached for more information about the Alpharetta plans.
