A second location of Che Butter Jonez is in the works in LaVista Park.

The restaurant is slated to open later this summer in a 2,954-square-foot space formerly occupied by Coffee Bar Atlanta, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Che Butter Jonez 2.0 is expected to include a small market for fresh bread, grab-and-go food and beverage items, and Che Butter Jonez merchandise, according to the news outlet.

The new space is a bit larger than the flagship location of Che Butter Jonez, located at 757 Cleveland Avenue SW, but customers can expect a similar design and feel. There will also be beer and wine.

The concept comes from husband-and-wife duo Detric Fox-Quinlan and Malik Rhasaan. Che Butter Jonez began in 2018 as a food truck before the first brick-and-mortar location opened in 2021.

The menu changes daily and features breakfast, lunch and dinner. Regular items include burgers (beef, lamb or salmon), breakfast sandwiches and more.

The opening of the new restaurant might usher in the closure of the original Cleveland Avenue location, but time will tell.

In addition to the growth of Che Butter Jonez, the owners are also cooking up a new concept. A full-service restaurant called Butter + Scotch is planned for the Origin Hotel, a new hotel in South Downtown. The 125-seat restaurant is inspired by Queens, New York.
