A new commercial project appears to be in the works in Norcross.

An affiliate of BlueSky Management Corp., an Irvine-based real estate development and management firm, is listed as the owner of the project, with Pate Design Group of Marietta serving as the architect.

According to BlueSky, the company through one of its affiliates purchased 20 acres of vacant office space and a bank branch at the site in 2007. The original plans for the property were altered due to the Great Recession, but the retail building envisioned for the site now seems to be moving forward.

Construction plans indicate that the “single story shell only mercantile structure to be divided into tenants per future lease efforts” is planned for the corner of Jimmy Carter Boulevard and Peachtree Industrial Boulevard. It would include more than 4,000 square feet of space, according to the plans.

The site is adjacent to The Perry Residences apartment complex, as well as a nearby Zaxby’s and RaceTrac.
